The Mahoning Valley Sports Leadership Scholarship was created to recognize student-athletes who demonstrate leadership, character, selflessness, and a commitment to helping others succeed both on and off the field.

We believe sports teach life lessons far beyond wins and losses. Through teamwork, adversity, discipline, sacrifice, and perseverance, student-athletes develop skills that shape future leaders in their schools, communities, and families.

This scholarship is designed to honor athletes who use those lessons to positively impact the people around them.

Complete the full application and essay submission

Be a graduating high school senior from one of our participating schools
Have participated in school athletics

Leadership Skills

Demonstrated leadership skills and positive character helping others.

Future Plans

Plan to attend college, trade school, military service, or enter the workforce after graduation
